Steve Lynch's Digital Astronomy Photo's 2001-2003

Using a Coronodo refractor and a Hydrogen-alpha filter Steve has taken some great images not seen by standard solar filters.
He has even had a very nice promince image puvblished in The Coronodo advertisement in Sky & Telescope.
All pictures were taken afocal with an Olympus 3000z digital camera.

 The one of Saturn's occultation was taken through a 16" Newtonian
at 322 power (19mm panoptic with 3x barlow). This one turned out
pretty good. The few I took of the disk behind the edge were to blurred
from the brightness of the moon.


These were taken a few minutes a part in color and in a setting called Sepia.
